We became part of one of the largest port companies in the world, ICTSI - International Container Terminal Services, Inc. and rely on the experience and knowledge acquired in the operations of 32 terminals in 19 countries.
Serving the import and export hubs that expand around it, ICTSI Rio is able to offer services for handling containers, reefer cargo, project cargo and cargo with IMDG Code classification, with segregation and storage areas dedicated to that kind of cargo. We also have our own CFS logistical support for export pre-stacking and unitization operations.
In recent years, investments of R$ 542 million were made in construction, acquisition of state-of-the-art equipment, which allowed the expansion of its operational capacity by about 70%, being able to operate efficiently and safely the largest ships that call at the Brazilian coast, guaranteeing the renewal of the concession until 2048.
Highlighting the latest generation equipment, we have 16 RTG (Rubber Tyred Gantry), 12 of which are electric, which allows us to have more than 50% of our vertical cargo handling equipment using renewable energy, thus contributing to the preservation of the environment.
The customs area expanded from 136 thousand m² to 188 thousand m² and the reactivation of the internal railway branch (2x 288 m) with capacity to serve up to 26 wagons allowed the business to expand.
